Hello from your Renton Little League Board of Directors!

We are pleased to be your new Board of Directors for the 2008 season. There is renewed energy and a passion for success this year. As a Board we welcome you to Renton Little League. Have fun, play hard, and make friendships to last a lifetime.

Renton Little League operates under a single Little League charter. Renton North and Renton South have been combined for 2008 and have one Board of Directors.

In 2008 Renton Little League will field a structured youth baseball program of regular season baseball, softball, and t-ball teams as well as tournament teams and All-Stars. These tournament teams are comprised of: 9-10 year old Baseball & Softball, 11 old year Baseball & Softball, Little League Major Baseball & Softball, Junior League Baseball & Softball, Senior League Baseball and Big League Baseball. These players are between the ages of 5 and 18.

Our yearly activities begin with the election of the Board of Directors at the league’s General Membership Meeting in October. In November we kick-off our online sign-ups and in-person registration begins in January. Try-outs/Assessments are in February & early March and games begin in mid April. Our season ends in the middle of June. In late June we feature District 7’s Tournament of Champions and then the District All-Star Tournaments. Renton Little League also features a Fall Ball program with emphasis on learning and development. Our games in Fall Ball are played with other District 7 Fall Ball teams.

The City of Renton, located along the south shore of Lake Washington and is a lakefront city offering spectacular views of the Olympics, the Cascades, and Mount Rainier. The Cedar River which runs through the heart of downtown also offers an abundance of natural beauty. Renton offers a unique quality of life, a strong sense of community, and excellent personal opportunities for residents and businesses. Today, Renton is a community of more than 58,000 residents, with another 35,000 people employed within the city limits.

Our league is able to function through the generous support of our local businesses and sponsors as well as our many volunteers.

Chris Galbraith is our 2008 President, Chuck Markarian our 2008 Vice President of Baseball, and Kim Loucks is our 2008 Vice President of Softball.

Have fun and Play Ball,

Renton Little League Board of Directors
